The Very First Time Philadelphia's Head Coach Called Sean Considine

“The very first time Philadelphia’s coach called me, I was sitting at the house with my phone on my lap. It was probably about 6:30 to 7 in the morning and he calls me. I picked up the phone, saw it was Andy and I had to just kind of sit there. I was like, ‘Wow! It’s Andy Reid on the phone.’”On April 23, 2005, Sean Considine finally got the call that he had been waiting for – he had been drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles as the 133rd overall pick in the third round. He later recalled that it was a pretty emotional moment for him because lately he was not sure if he was going to get drafted or not.

Sean Considine, then with the Arizona State Sun Devils, was told by his coach that he had been drafted to play in the NFL and as a result there was no need to return to school. Ninety players were chosen before Sean Considine in the 2005 NFL Draft. He was not supposed to be disappointed, but he was. One morning, Sean's cell phone rang. It was Andy Reid, the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, who said: "We have our eye on you." The day before, Philly traded Chad Lewis to the New England Patriots. The Eagles wanted Sean Considine and they got him.

Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, Sean Considine was to be just as good a linebacker as anyone. After playing at the University of Iowa, he played four seasons for the Eagles from 2005-2008. He also played for Baltimore Ravens in 2009 and 2010. When he was drafted, he was of course very happy

The Philadelphia Eagles travelled to their training camp on Florida in the month of July. Sean Considine who was a rookie player at that time didn't want to be left behind. Instead of letting him go to Florida, asking him to stay with other players and fined 1000 dollars, he sent him out of his sight.
